Creativity is a Pathway to wellbeing

I design culturally relevant, creative arts experiences that help children, adolescents, and adults build connection, improve stress regulation, and increase confidence through storytelling, theatre, music, and reflective writing. My work weaves together education, the arts, and evidence-informed practices to create transformative experiences that support wellbeing across healthcare and community settings.

What Guides My Work

I have had the unique privilege of learning from some of the most gifted artists of our time, including poet and activist Sonia Sanchez; actor, director, and playwright Ruben Santiago-Hudson; violinist and conductor Alfred Gershfeld; and my grandmother, pianist Reva Mond.

Each of these artists shaped my understanding of creativity; not simply as artistic practice, but as a way of making meaning. They taught me that creativity helps us navigate the in between spaces: the space between uncertainty and hope, grief and resilience, who we are and who we are becoming.

When we create, we give ourselves permission to dwell, even if only for a moment, in that space of possibility. Creative expression invites us to ask, What beautiful world will you create? My greatest joy is creating spaces where people can begin to answer that question for themselves.
